The PGA Tour hosts its opening event of 2024 as a number of the world's best players assemble in Hawaii for The Sentry, live on Sky Sports Golf and Sky Sports Main Event from 7.15pm on Thursday.

Golfers were able to play in the first signature event of the season if they had won a PGA Tournament over the last 12 months or finished in the top 50 in the 2023 FedExCup points standings.

Fifty-nine of the 60 eligible players will be in Kapalua with the one exception Rory McIlroy, who will begin his season in Dubai with back-to-back events on the DP World Tour, starting on January 11, live on Sky Sports.

Reigning Sentry champion Jon Rahm will also be missing having signed for LIV Golf, a move that led to him being suspended from the PGA Tour.
